Summary
Under general supervision, the Engineering Technician with the Singer team will play a crucial role in supporting the development of pre-production vehicles to ensure future products meet and exceed design specifications. You will work closely with engineers to validate processes, collect data, and analyze results to ensure performance, safety, and efficiency, in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”

Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience

  • Associate Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2-year Technical or Automotive Technology Degree or ASE Certifications
  • Automotive OEM Test Technician training and work experience
  • 5+ years of automotive, manufacturing, and/or prototyping environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of all vehicle systems such as Suspension, Brake systems, Powertrain, Electrical, Chassis, and Interiors
  • Overall fabrication knowledge of prototyping including metal fabrication, welding, drilling, riveting, and bonding various materials
  • High-level knowledge of Electrical systems, experience troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, as well as the ability to build and repair motorsport-grade harnesses

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Experience in programming and machine controls or electronics validation and testing
  • OEM Certified Master Technician
  • OEM-specific Technician Training

Skills

  • Proficiency in automotive testing equipment and software tools
  • Passion for the automotive industry and a desire to learn and grow
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, computer, communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
